Our goal is to make cvLeads an easy to use app for you to use during the
conference and we have provided some information below to assist you should you have questions
about its operation. You will find several icons on the top menu bar that when selected, provide
the following operating functions:
Use the Gear icon on your cvLeads app to access Question Management, change the Visual Style
of your app screen, select a particular Print Style to use from the app if you are printing
contact information to a Convergence bluetooth printer, and to view your License information.
The Question Mark icon is where you go to get basic Help in explaining the operation of the
cvLeads app and to find instructions for capturing leads from attendees registration badges
depending upon the type of technology used by the meeting. Here you will also find a link to
the cvLeads Web Portal where you can login to your cloud account and view your collected leads
or manage your prospect questions. There is also a link provided to the cvLeads Order Webpage
should you need to add additional licenses or equipment. The About menu item provides Admin
Details for the app, including copyright information and the number of total prospect leads
collected.
The Sync icon is used to synchronize the prospect data collected on your cvLeads app with your
cvLeads cloud account.
Permissions Needed by cvLeads when Downloading to your own Device
Our application needs certain permissions from you in order to operate on your Android device. To promote transparency, we explain
why we need each permission:
Read phone status and identity - We use a combination of the internal Android ID, your IMEI and a seed value to create a unique ID for
your device. This allows us to control and validate the licensing of your device to a particular conference for collecting leads.
Take pictures and videos - This is needed for scanning barcodes, like QR, from badges.
Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage - Conference banner graphics are downloaded to your local storage to brand the application to the particular conference you are licensed for.
Wi-Fi and network access - Internet access is used for several functions. Initially, it is used to validate the license key entered. It is used to
download the conference banner graphics and to upload collected attendee data. It is required to validate the license key. If Internet access is not
available on the exhibit hall floor, collected data is stored locally until the device can get Internet access to sync with this web portal.
Access Bluetooth - An optional Bluetooth printer can be rented in order to print attendee details (for attaching to paper files, as a receipt, etc.)
